You’re probably heard of St Croix fishing rods and wondered if they are any good?

Absolutely! They are awesome and I strongly recommend them! St. Croix offers quality fishing rods for anyone, at nearly any budget.

Nowadays it’s so easy to buy a cheap generic fishing rod created by some random overseas company, and that is what the majority of new fishing rod companies are doing. And I’m here to tell you that will never happen if you buy a St. Croix fishing rod.

I purchased so many great rods from St. Croix over my many years of fishing it was an easy choice to name St. Croix as our essential rod recommendation.

We had the opportunity to interview the representatives at St. Croix and this fishing rod company that operates like a close family, and you might not realize this, they’re considered the premier leader of technological fishing rod innovators for the entire world. St. Croix invests millions of dollars each year in order to ensure their customers get the best fishing rod for their needs.

Many fly-by-night companies just place a mass-made order and slap their name onto any cheap rod they can find, St. Croix does it the old-fashioned way.  They are still going through the exhaustive expense of making sure each rod truly means something special to its owner.

And how do they do that? Each fishing rod is created to exact specifications to become ultra sensitive and comfortable, so you can have amazing performance all day without the arm and wrist fatigue. To back that up they give you 5-star customer service and a class leading warranty service.  Do they have to go that far? They do because they are the St. Croix fishing rod company.

St. Criox Rods - Innovations And Awards:

Innovations

  • IPC TOOLING TECHNOLOGY – With the use of integrated poly curves® tooling technology on the mandrel design, St. Croix scientists continue to innovate. IPC® removes transitional spots in the blank, resulting in smoother rods with higher strength and sensitivity.

  • ART TECHNOLOGY – The newest invention from St. Croix engineers is Advanced Reinforcing Technology. ART is an extraordinary carbon fiber material that resists ovaling and increases the strength of a rod blank by 10 times without increasing the diameter or weight.

  • FORTIFIED RESIN SYSTEM – St. Croix has developed a new Fortified Resin System (FRS), which combines a fortified super resin with new computer-controlled curing ovens that enable superior temperature and time management throughout the curing cycle. FRS avoids microbuckling by maintaining optimal carbon fiber alignment. This sophisticated production technique regularly produces blanks that are 33 percent stronger than those made with ordinary resins and curing methods.

  • TAPER ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY – St. Croix has created a brand new groundbreaking manufacturing process called Taper Enhancement Technology (TET) that begins with highly precise, curved blank patterns aided by a state-of-the-art computerized pattern cutting equipment after several years of R&D and testing. These unique designs, when paired with IPC-mandrels, provide blanks with superior actions and sensitivity. Traditional straight-line patterns cut by hand pale in comparison to this pattern creation and cutting technology.
